What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a unique form of primary healthcare that aims to help you achieve optimal health through proper movement and function of your spine.
The spine is the only thing that protects and encases the nervous system, (spinal cord and spinal nerves at each level of the spine) which brings information up to the brain and back to the muscles, organs and tissues throughout your body. The spine therefore plays a crucial role in the overall health and communication between the brain and body.
Chiropractors learn the specific structure (anatomy), biomechanics (movement) and nerve supply (neural input) of the spine and how its overall function impacts your body and health.
Every day we place significant stress on our spine and nervous system through incorrect postural habits, abnormal movement patterns, inflammation, and toxins by way of poor diet, stress, lack of sleep, trauma, accidents and dealing with the daily stressors of living.
A spine that moves correctly plays a big role in the information our brain receives and how the brain then sends this information to our muscles and organs. This can really affect how your nervous system adapts to stress and the overall function of your health. If your spine is not moving correctly due to physical, chemical, and emotional stressors, it can cause many imbalances in your body, ranging from physical symptoms, such as stiff joints, aches and pain, right through to disc degeneration, inflammation and trapped nerves. This can also lead to fatigue, decreased concentration, increased irritability and many more symptoms or a feeling of dis-ease.
At Chiropractic Alchemy, we understand your needs and that “Everyone is Different”, so we use an array of adjusting techniques unique to you to achieve the best desired results.
We focus primarily on adjustments of the spine, pelvis, and cranium to allow the areas that are restricted and causing nerve interference (vertebral subluxations/musculoskeletal dysfunction), tight muscles, abnormal joint movement and loading of discs to be corrected. These specific adjustments, as well as active muscle release, soft tissue, cranial work, and specific exercises allow the corrections to take place and your body to heal, self-regulate and your nervous system to adapt better to its environment.
Not only do we aim to help you get rid of your aches and pains, but to also feel better, move more freely, have more energy, and feel much more connected to your body.
Health is a journey and should not be taken for granted but worked at every day. Including Chiropractic care in your health regime is something that we believe is essential and can make a huge difference in how you feel, function, and live your life with less health restrictions. We look forward to helping you achieve a more optimal health.
Life is for living and for getting the most out of every day, so don’t let the limitations of your current state of health restrict you from living the life you want to live.
